When he arrived inside the world created by Ezekiel's bankai, he immediately took a moment to realize what to happened. When Ezekiel reappeared, he was no match. Constantly being outmatched, he could not overcome him. Trying to escape, Ezekiel slashed his torso on the front, almost fatally wounding him. When he stumbled to get away, he used Ezekiel's ability to hide. When he met the gate in the main Yosai, he stuck his hand in the keyhole, the blood from him pressing his wound entering it.

When he realized what it did, he stumbled through the gate, but moments before Ezekiel severed his left arm, leaving only a few inches of the limb left. When he returned to the Seireitei from Ezekiel's petrified blade, his enemy moments behind him, he tried crawling to his beloved Hana. Without displaying it, Hana felt much rage. Kiyameru could no longer keep consciousness. Hana, swiftly using her shunpo to pass by Ezekiel with a precision blow, took his powers in one, nearly-fatal strike. Ezekiel's whereabouts were unknown to Kiyameru, but when he regained consciousness he sword he'd kill him...For Hana was ordered to be executed for not doing the same against Ezekiel. Kiyameru stood as he watched the only person he loved become slain by the Sogyoku.
