Captain of the Fifth Division and Kido Corps Commander Alexander R. Kazura was reclining in his chair, located of course in the Fifth Division barracks.  He was thinking about life as the Kido Corps Commander, when a thought crossed his mind.  What would happen if the former Commander, Kyroku Kokujin, was for some reason ordered executed by Central 46?  What if, for the sake of argument, they ordered the current Commander to perform the execution personally and immediately to ensure success?  That would be a grand kido battle for the ages, but how would it end...?  With these thoughts in his mind, Alexander would find himself drifting off into a deep sleep...

The setting was Africa, in the middle of the wastelands where no humans would be harmed and no Shinigami would intervene with the business that Alexander had come to complete.  His task was relatively straightforward.  He was to kill Kyroku Kokujin and return his remains to Central 46, with the condition of his said remains being a non-issue.  Proof of completion was preferred, though when dealing with Captain-level Shinigami, death by vaporization was possible during battle.  Alexander held a great respect for the man who had sat in his chair before him, but orders were orders and he had no other choice.

Captain Kokujin would be executed and he would be the one to perform the 'ceremony.'

Alexander approached the place where he figured the other Captain would be, on the edge of the Dimensional Tear where the anamoly could be studied most easily.  There were no other Shinigami nearby, which was fortunate considering the fact that if intense battle was necessary, Alexander did not want to have to worry overmuch about casualties.  Drawing both of his swords, the Kido Captain followed the relatively familiar reiatsu presence of Kokujin, a task simplified by the fact that no one else was nearby.  "My brothers, share your knowledge with me.  Together, let us go forth.  Forth unto oblivion, Jubakusurujō."  The Captain said in a low speaking voice, activating his Shikai.

This was not an event wherein he could afford to have to waste time calling it out.  The white and black blades lined up on his back, giving him the appearance of having a white wing and a black wing, though his hands were now empty.  "Kyroku Kokujin, Captain of the Twelfth Division..."  Alexander would state upon coming to where the other Captain's reiatsu could be felt such that he knew his target was in hearing radius.  "I require words with you."

OOC: sorry for the weak entrance, just wanted to get one out here so we can get started.

It was a fairly busy day for kyroku. He had personally gone to the human world to study the Dimensional Tear, something that had been occurring more and more lately. He had just finished running a series of tests on the Tear when he noticed a somewhat familiar reiatsu approaching. He then put down the several vials he had with him on a table he had brought for this very reason. The table was simple, as it just served as a station to keep his things while he worked on the Tear above. From an outsiders view, it was an odd site to see a table in the middle of the African wastelands.

He then stood up from his seat and turned to face the captain approaching. It was none other than his replacement for division 5, Alexander Kazura. At first the sight of the captain was welcoming, until kyroku noticed the mans blades were drawn. He placed his hand on suzumushi, relaxing his hand across the hilt of the blade, using it as a prop of sorts. Though everyone knew that such a stance was to say "I am ready to fight if i must". Kyroku then closed the gap a few feet between the two.

" Captain Kazura, a pleasure to see you. What can I help you with?" kyroku said with a smile. Though the drawn swords did bring alarm to him, he was going to atleast be a gentleman about the affair. Whatever that may be.

The Captain was silent for a moment, but he opened his hands and held them out as though waiting for something to be handed to him.  Instantly, two of the swords at his back disappeared.  Now there was a black sword in Alexander's right and a brilliantly bright sword in his left, with four remaining behind him.  "If only it was a pleasure to be here, Captain Kokujin.  Central 46 has ordered your execution.  As Kido Corps Commander, it was seen as appropriate that I should be the one to...'perform the ceremony.'"

Alexander's eyes had an almost unsure aspect to them, as though he still could not believe what was occurring at this moment.  It had crossed his mind once or twice to be curious about who would win between himself and the former Commander, but he had always simply shrugged and carried on with his work.  Orders were orders however...

"Understand that I take no pleasure in this, but there are no options.  I at least came without reiatsu hidden in order to give you a fair and honorable battle to your death."  At the last, Alexander looked into the eyes of his predecessor and raised his blade into a vertical column in front of his chest.  He then lowered his hands, so that both swords were facing towards the ground at diagonal points.  "Draw your blade.  Hado number thirty-three, Sokatsui."  Kazura said in a voice that was utterly devoid of feeling, showing a small measure of his distaste at what he was being forced to do.  A symbol glowed on the sword in his right hand, but nothing else occurred to show that there was any meaning in his spell than wording.

Kyroku eyed the man with confusion. Under normal circumstances, he would be prompted to ask questions as to why he was being targeted by Central 46. But since this was an execution order, He found words would do little good, even if it was a fellow captain. He simple lowered his head in grief. He would have to fight Alexander, but he wouldn't kill the man. He would simply make it to where he couldn't fight back any longer. With his mind made up, he raised his head once again. "As you wish Captain Kazura, Just remember. You brought this on yourself." He said in a somber tone. He then heard the Captain chant the words to hado 33, Sokaisui. He was surprised when nothing happened.  He knew it had something to do with his shikai, that much was clear. But Kyroku had not witnessed Alexander's abilities when he was promoted to his station, Kyroku had already resigned by then.

Since nothing had happened however, Kyroku would take this time to strike. Without even shifting his weight, he pulled suzumushi from his side, revealing the cold steel of the blade. The Katana was beautiful to Kyroku; the ring on its tsuba to the slight curve at the end of the blade. But this was not all he did. As the blade pulled from the scabbard, the blade began to vibrate. Gently at first but rapidly becoming louder until it was a high pitched screech. "Konpeki Tattobu" Kyroku whispered as the technique resonated outward 50 feet, pulsing from his position outward in a circle. Of course this was if one could see sound. To the Captain it would be like a unholy alarm going off in their head.

This was not the end however. As the technique screeched, he spoke an incantation of his own. " bakudo number 1, Sai!" Kyroku shouted now. The bakudo was light yes, but from a kido master such as himself, it would be more than enough to last a few moments on the Captain. with the two combined attacks, alexander would have a hard time doing anything. Konpeki Tattobu would disable him while Sai restrained him.

Despite his words, Alexander had never had the slightest intention of battling Kyroku sword to sword. He himself was considered a master swordsman in the Soul Society, but even still he was a grandmaster of Kido and that was his element. That being said, when Kyroku began to pull his sword from its sheath, Alexander put much force into a leap backwards to prepare for the unleashing of explosive Kido, and perhaps several at once. His plan had been to perhaps release the Sokatsui as a surprise attack, maybe on the tail of another Kido so that it would be more difficult to avoid. That plan was damaged slightly however, when an unholy screeching occurred directly within his eardrums or perhaps more accurately directly within his mind. Instead of a controlled landing on his feet leading into a powerful Kido cast, Alexander fell to earth with a hand on his head, the other hand refusing to leave his sword. Specifically, he dropped the left-hand weapon, which then immediately shattered and reappeared in its place behind him. At the moment, the Captain was on one knee, his right, placing a grand effort into not collapsing in full onto the ground. He did not know it because he could not have heard the words of the spell, but he had narrowly avoided being entrapped by a spell directed against him. A result of his leap directly backwards, he landed just outside of the effective range of Sai, which was relatively short at ten feet. He had leaped with enough force to place him just outside this radius, at approximately fifteen. That thought would have been relatively of little comfort however, because Sai he could have perhaps overpowered through a surge of reiatsu. This ungodly painful wailing going off in his head however, that was simply unbearable. At the moment, all of his attention was being placed into two areas: remaining on his knees instead of on his chest on the ground, and keeping an eye open to watch Kyrok, as his current position was quite obviously leaving him vulnerable.

Kyroku hated to do this to the Captain. It really barred on his soul; yet their was no turning back now. The Captain felt the full force of suzumushi's signature strike. It was an eerie blade indeed. Only those under its effect could hear just what the Captain was going through. Frankly, he was glad thats how it was. Very few people went up against his blade. As a constant released zanpakuto, it was highly dangerous. The lack of a release made Konpeki Tattobu that much difficult to avoid. Sai however was another story. The captain managed to block that one, yet it had only been fired to help restrain the captains hands from casting any kind of kido in the meantime. This was expected though, with such a low rank within the Kido system.

Now, Kyroku would go offensive. Yes he was not as skilled in the sword as most other Captains, but he didn't need to be. He much rather be good with kido and hoho. If it were not for suzumushi, he wouldn't have even bothered training in the art. But he did know enough to get by and certainly enough to cause problems for his enemies. The Captain would now learn of Suzumushi's true power, that of submission. It was not a sword intended to kill ones foe, but rather subdue them. Kyroku then moved from his position infront of Alexander to just behind him. He accomplished this with shunpo ofcourse, as he knew Konpeki Tattobu wouldn't last forever on someone as strong as Alexander. From his rested position, Kyroku slashed the mans right shoulder blade. He just wanted to draw the mans blood for suzumushi to take effect.  He paid close attention to the body below him however. There were quite a few kido that were capable of being fired from this position. Most notably among them; Ittou Kasou. Though a sacrificial move, it was also almost a guaranteed kill. Something he wasn't sure the man might rule out just yet. So Kyroku was as cautious as ever as he brought the blade swiftly across the mans back.

The high-pitched wailing sound ended abruptly, and it became obvious that the technique was one of the blade that the Captain was holding even to the unintelligent. The sound did not seem to leave behind a ringing as most other loud sounds might have, and seemed to alleviate itself almost instantaneously. That being said, the Fifth Captain took a glance upwards and saw that Kyroku had disappeared. Eyes opening slightly, Alexander reached both hands behind his back and closed them, lowering his torso slightly more to the ground as he did so.

Two swords appeared his hands, a black one in his right hand and a bright one in his left. The bright sword appeared at such an angle to prevent a thrusting directly into his heart, and the black one appeared at a similar angle above the Captain's right shoulder blade. He had no particular way of determining what Kyroku was attempting to do, however the technique of appearing behind one's opponent and performing an attack was one that was both obvious and often used. It was a purely reflexive defense that saved Alexander a painful and sudden slash across the shoulder. This slash would act to confirm his suspicions that his fellow Captain had chosen to appear behind him.

Alexander could not blame the man, as he might have performed a similar technique. What he could do however, was think about chastising the man for being unoriginal. Instead he simply entered shunpo and launched himself from his awkward position on the ground forward to retreat away from the other Captain. Appearing a few meters away, close to where Kyroku had been standing, Alexander pointed at his counterpart and muttered: "Bakudo Number 61, Rikujoukourou." At that point, six rods of light would appear around Kyroku and attempt to slam into his midsection and hold him in place for a moment. It was Alexander's hope that the other Captain might not notice the Bakudo however, for when he had opened his hands to place them behind himself to call swords to defend his back, he had released the sword that contained sokatsui. Upon this release, the sword had released the Kido towards Kyroku. The Fifth Captain would disappear into his shunpo and the technique would literally be moving through his disappearing form to reach Kyroku. That being said, it was Alexander's hope that his attempt to bind the man would go relatively unnoticed in the ensuing explosion of power.

Kyroku had anticipated a kido technique being used. Wither or not Alexander had muddered the spell in his position was unknown to Kyroku. When the Sokatsui began to fire, he instantly saw it and used shunpo to avoid the strike, propelling himself forward close to his initial position but ten feet roughly to the right. In an instant, Alexander was not much farther to his left. Apparently the two held the same idea. Kyroku would indeed have fun with his replacement. But things were just now getting started. It was a battle of the mind after all. Before the Captain even began speaking his next incantation, Kyroku was speaking his own. " Bakudo number 73, Tozanshou!" He called out. Tozanshou was a personal favorite of Kyroku's. As soon as the words left his mouth, a large bluish pyramid roughly 10 feet long with Kyroku as the center formed around him. The tip of the pyramid was buried in the earth, but one knew what it was. Especially a kido master such as Alexander. Inside he would be invulnerable to some physical and reiatsu based attacks.

The man's Bakudo would be useless while he was inside the pyramid. The rods that were meant to bind Kyroku slammed into the side of the pyramid, shattering as they did so. The bluish walls pulsated with the attack. If the man had thrown a hakudo of the same caliber, it might have broken through. But now Kyroku held the advantage. No one could see into the Tozanshou, which meant Kyroku could prepare for whatever he pleased, without fear of a counter strike. He thought a high level kido was an appropriate response to the Captains attack. So far he had gone easy on the man, but the fight was dragging on. This irritated Kyroku, he hated fighting after all. With that, he started to concentrate reiatsu into his hand, forming a ball. As it charged, one would notice the dark hue that turned black. Yes it was a signature spell among kido master, but one couldn't deny its effectiveness. Kyoku would release it soon upon the man with devilish precision.

Alexander frowned and sighed lightly at the failure of his Kido spells.  Naturally he had expected that Kyroku would be more difficult to subdue than by simply using these parlor tricks, but the man was even more clever than the Fifth Captain had expected.  The use of Tozanshou in that manner was inspired, to say the least.  This placed Alexander in a strange position.  On the one hand, Kyroku had effectively tapped himself in the inverted pyramid, and a strong enough Kido spell would destroy both it and him in one shot.  However, the other Captain would know this and would most likely have taken or be taking precautions.  On that note, though Alexander could simply wait for Kyroku's spell to end, by that time the other Captain could have prepared something particularly nasty for him.  After all, the point of that spell was less defense and more utility, the ability in this case being invisibility.

There were other ways to avoid Rikujoukourou, and yet Kyroku had chosen Tozanshou...which meant that something was probably going to happen in a few more moments.  "Regardless, I can use this break in the flow of battle..."  Alexander muttered to himself before snapping the fingers of both hands.  "Bankai."  All of the bright and dark swords impaled the Kido master simultaneously, each going through a different part of his torso, though he made no expression of pain.  In a moment, the blades shattered in his torso, and blue light began to spread from the points of impalement in the form of symbols of deep blue energy.  These symbols began to float lazily along his body like moving tattoos, even floating over his eyes, which had begun to glow blue as well.  With another snap of his fingers, Alexander caused six blades of blue fire to emerge from his back like bladed wings.  Pointing a sword at the blue pyramid housing his opponent, Alexander designated himself immune to the spell that he was about to incant and began chanting.  ""Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together..."  The Kido Master was purposely chanting slowly, the light spears of the Kido forming methodically around his head.  He was waiting to see if Kyroku would make an attempt first, before he would waste the most powerful Kido spell that he could cast without one form of sacrifice or another.

Kyroku watched from the pyramid while the man entered his bankai. The display of swords piercing the wielder was bizarre to say the least. One with such a release would not be taken lightly. The runic symbols over the man also took him by surprise. Such an odd bankai the man had. Soon he would see his...or wouldn't to be more specific. But Kyroku hated to use his Bankai. Nothing should suffer its presence, but he would do what he must to survive. As the man began to speak, his eyes began glowing an unnatural hue. Kyroku then confirmed his blades ability was linked to kido. Something that would be deadly in the hands of a Kido Master. This didn't bother Kyroku too much however, he himself was in the Captains position not 200 years ago. Kido was also still a big part of the Captains life. This constant submergence in kido is what made him recognize Senju Kouten Taihou so quickly. Only one kido opened with that line of incantation, and it was one of the most powerful. It seems the Captain had the same thing in mind as Kyroku had. But the man was still at a disadvantage, and Kyroku would exploit it.

In kyroku's other hand he quickly forced another personal favorite of his. A long pillar of light started to sprout from his hand. He could contain the kido for a few moments before he finished its summoning and would need to call its name. So, he needed to act fast. Kyroku jumped forward and to his right, bursting from the right side of the pyramid in a matter of milliseconds. His arm containing the pillar was already pulled back and ready to strike "Bakudo number 62, Hyapporankan!" He shouted as the kido launched from his hand towards his opponent. The Kido would break into 50 identical pillars scattered across a 20 meter range that would fly towards his target with the intention of piercing him and pin him to his surroundings. If the kido landed, he would not be able to release the spell, if not, he would have to end the incantation to avoid them. Either way, the Bakudo would save him. As soon as the Kido left his hand however, he focused on the orb in his other hand. This was for the mans reaction, whatever it may be.

"Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness!" He said quickly, nearly knocking the wind out of him for saying such a long incantation in such a quick amount of time. "Hado number 90, Kurohitsugi!" He finished as the orb vanished, intending to surround the Captain in a box designed to incapacitate any who enter it.

Kyroku was still ready to flee at the slightest hint of a counter assault. The Captain wasn't to be taken lightly and Kyroku had no intention of dying this day. So he had his feet ready and his eyes open ready for whatever retaliation the Captain had in mind.

The pillar of light was launched and before it even broke apart, it was known for Hyapporankan.  After all, there were only a few Kido that produced pillars of light, and only one out of those few required the light to be thrown towards the opponent.  This was not a problem however, as Alexander had predicted that his opponent would do something to this effect.  Oh, he had not known which Kido it would be, but he had been relatively sure that there would be a response to his chanting.  Instead of dodging, the Fifth Captain simply changed tactics.  "Bakudo number thirty nine, Enkosen..."  Enkosen alone was not sufficient for this task however, and so he had added another step into the equation by tapping into the abilities of his Zanpakuto to empower the spell so that it was almost to the level of a Danku.

Moving his hands forward palms outward in a stopping motion, the Kido Captain caused a circular shield of dense eiatsu to form in the air, which the pillars of Hyapporankan shattered against like thin icicles.  The shield then dissipated, its work complete, though a new Kido then took effect, one that Alexander heard the trailing incantation of.  Kurohitsugi...the black box began to form around him...though he made no particular movement to stop it, instead choosing to raise his left arm so that his palm was pointing outward with the fingers spread.  He then placed his right hand on the left arm for support. If Hyapporankan was known by its pillar of light and Kurohitsugi was known for the dark reiatsu that composed even its preparatory stages, then this Kido was known by the stance in which most Kido masters chose to employ it. "Hado number eighty-eight, Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raiho." The black box would seal itself with the Kido Captain inside, and only a moment later would be destroyed in a brilliant explosion that shattered it and created a massive boom.

As the shards of the dark kido were raining down, Alexander was revealed to be standing exactly as he had been before, completely unharmed and staring at his opponent. Normally Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raiho would not have been capable of blasting Kurohitsugi from the inside, but Alexander was still under the effects of his empowerment and was thus capable of making the spell more than strong enough to perform the feat. From here, Alexander would point his blade at his opponent and mutter: "Tsuin no Kagami." From two blades behind him would emerge the powerful Kido that he had just used, both rushing towards his opponent at a speed that the Hado would normally not be capable of. It was Alexander's hope that using his ability to modify the speed of Kido would catch his opponent off guard. After all, using an empowered hado eighty-eight in a doubled manner...would mean that if even the outskirts of the spell caught the other Captain, the results could and would be deadly.

(Hey Xan, I just noticed something. At the distance you are both from each other you would have been caught by Kyroku's Bakudo while finishing your incantation. Your Enkosen also takes a second to speed up so unless you can talk super which it didn't look like you were doing his Bakudo would have hit you and pinned you. Please edit your post or if you wish it can be acted as if you are pinned.)

This fight was no longer going in Kyroku's favor and he knew it. He paid close attention to the Captain and how he blocked his two spells. He watched as Enkosen repelled his Hyapporankan with relative ease. At this point Kyroku came to the conclusion that the mans bankai was capable of strengthening his Kido. This meant any kido Kyroku fired would become void. There were several bakudo spells that could nullify any hakudo spells and vice versa. He had entered a losing fight without knowing it. But now that he did, he would focus less on kido and advance his melee. Though Kyroku was not as skilled as the other captains, he was still very much a threat. Mostly because suzumushi didn't rely as much on inflicting damage as landing successive hits. As soon as Kurohitsugi landed, he knew the captain already had something in store for him. So he made sure that he was ready to react.

Needless to say, the Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raiho was to be expected. What wasn't expected was how quickly Xan was capable of firing off a third kido. Kyroku deemed it yet another ability of his bankai. It seemed this man was focused around it. He wondered what good it would do him in the future. The major drawback of Kiryu Gekizoku Shinten raiho was its predictability. The spell was destructive yes, but it was most effective taking an opponent off guard. Kyroku had anticipated something of its caliber. Naturally, the Captain had attempted to "one up" his kurohitsugi. As the Captains blades lowered he remembered how his blade had fired Sokatsui earlier. It didn't take Kyroku a moment to realize what was to come, another kido from the blade. He made sure to time it correctly, waiting just until the blade lowered completely and the faintest of color of the spell charged before he shunpoed to his far right. Kyroku was skilled in many things, shunpo being one of them. He had always been naturally gifted in the art, much like kido. So timing his steps was something he had come to do without even thinking. The Blast of the kido would have been devastating in soul society, but this was Africa, there wasn't an obstruction for the spell to hit besides Kyroku for miles. For this, Kyroku hardly took the blasts effect on his surroundings into account.

As the spell from the blade was fired upon his previous position, Kyroku turned his blade upward and placed his left palm against the ring of his hilt. He would regret doing this to the captain, but he wished to keep his own life. He still had much to do in this world. "Bankai" Kyroku said stoically. He disliked using bankai against his opponents, he much rather remain in shikai, but this battle demanded it of him. As soon as the release phrase left his mouth, the ring on his blade dripped with spirit energy. It expanded to the length of his body within half a second as Kyroku pulled the ring. The ring started to hover around Kyroku, splitting into ten more rings. He then slashed his sword in the air, causing the rings to fly outward in all directions. The rings would lock onto Alexanders spiritual signature and encompass him and Kyroku. To the man it would seem as if it were an attack gone wrong, until the rings instantly formed the sea of darkness that would become the mans world.  The area was large, and inside the dome, it felt infinite. It covered roughly the size of a professional football stadium, escape wasn't an option. Alexander was now in Suzumushi's Mumyō.

Only now did Kyroku finally relax. There was nothing the man could do to detect where Kyroku was in this place. The mans senses would be cut from him, all but his sense of touch. It was now that Kyroku would observe the man for a moment before he took a strike. Everyone took the Mumyō differently and it was key that he understood how Alexander took it. This was the beginning of the end.

Black.  That was all that existed within the space that must surely have been Kyroku's bankai.  Not just blackness, but an almost suffocating silence.  The Fifth Captain would have designated the silence as 'suffocating' because of the fact that in a dark and quiet place, one could typically at least hear themselves breathing.  Not so in this place, as the only reason Alexander knew that breath was entering his lungs was because he could feel the effects of it happening.  Suddenly he could understand why Kyroku had waited for so long to use such a technique.  The man was rather humanistic by nature, and would have seen this as nothing less than borderline torture and for a second even the Alexander was caught off-guard.  He then took a breath, ridiculously deep so that he could feel the effects of the breath, and gathered his nerve back to himself.  He was in the middle of an execution battle with another Captain, meaning that this was not the time to lose himself.  He had to figure out what he knew and regroup his thoughts.  Yes, he had been reduced to thinking to himself in the most basic terms, as he required the lengthy thought process to hold himself together in the sudden wake of oblivion.  He had noticed Kyroku dodging the tremendous explosion left by three high-level Kido, and in hindsight almost kicked himself.  The proper way to have done that was not to have aimed them all at the same location, but to have spread them out to make dodging impossible.

Alexander almost sighed, before he remembered that he would get no satisfaction from the soundless expression of self-annoyance.  At any rate, time was wasting, time that he surprisingly did not have in oblivion.  After the dodge, the other Captain had done something strange with his sword that Alexander had not seen him do throughout the battle, leading him to believe that just as the eldritch markings and power were his bankai, this senseless place was Kyroku's.  'Why did we never team up for battle?  If there was a way for allies to see in this thing, then together we would have been unstoppable.'  No time for that now though, besides it was time to move forward in the thought train.  He had seen the rings spread out, covering a grandly sized portion of land before suddenly darkness enclosed the field.  So, this was either an alternate space, or a structure that had trapped him inside of it.  There was no time to figure out which one it was however, and at this point Kyroku could have been anywhere.  When his mind reached that point, Alexander performed a cautious shunpo to his right.  He then performed another towards the ground, wondering where Kyroku even was.  He landed a little awkwardly, not being able to see and having navigated to this point solely from approximation.  He then leaped to his right in a third shunpo.  Doubtless the other was probably assuming that the battle was over, as even the greatest swordsman was useless without senses.  At that point, the question was whether he would take his time or simply kill Alexander...though no...he would probably do less killing and more incapacitating.  The Fifth Captain doubted that Kyroku was actually trying to kill him so much as defeat him to stay alive.  That thought did not help the guilt that Alexander was feeling about trying to kill him, of course.

As soon as he landed from the shunpo, Alexander took another deep breath and said in a relatively (for what was occurring) calm voice: "Bakudo number seventy-three, Tozanshou."  Normally the Fifth Captain would have considered the Tozanshou to be less of a defense than he would have liked, but he was currently still under the effects of the Saidai-ka Suru, the maximization of Kido power.  This Tozanshou possessed strength that surpassed that of Danku, which would grant him protection from a much more significant amount of punishment for a slightly longer amount of time.  Considering the fact that what he had in mind would only require the next several seconds, the barrier would suffice.  For comfort's sake, Alexander placed his right hand along the edge of the Tozanshou.  If something happened, he would be able to feel the inverted crystal structure take damage or outright shatter and would move accordingly.  No sooner than the word 'Tozanshou' had left his mouth, Alexander began chanting the words to his next spell.  Grabbing a sword from behind himself, Alexander spoke directly into what he knew was a flaming blue blade even though he could not see it.  "Hado Number Ninety-six Ittou Kasou."

And thus was the blade primed.  It was to be taken as an obvious fact that Alexander would never have resorted to this unless absolutely necessary, considering what was about to happen to his arm.  At the very least, the rest of him would be spared and the wound would be instantly cauterized.  Not that it was overly helpful to him right at the moment, that knowledge...by the Soul King, this was going to HURT.  Even now, blue fire was making its way up his arm, lines of it as though the spirits of his sword were warning him one last time of what he was about to do to himself.  The flames were as though someone were holding a brand only a portion of an inch above his skin, and even now it caused him pain...but he had to bear it.  Closing his eyes and gritting his teeth for what he knew would be hell on earth, Alexander swung his sword.

With the swinging of his sword, Alexander technically performed an attack, ending the Tozanshou prematurely and unleashing a blue hell within an oblivion.  Naturally, Alexander had designated himself the immune factor to the Kido, and stood in the midst of the most powerful technique that he was capable of producing without tapping into forbidden knowledge.  He could feel the some of the heat of the flames, but he could not see or hear them and when he thought about it could not even sense the explosion of reiatsu aside from a massive drain on his own energy.  What he could feel however, was his arm being burned off to just past his elbow, and it occurred to him that the air that he was feeling leaving his lungs was him emitting a soundless scream of agony.  It was without a doubt his strangest experience ever, as well as the most painful.  Fortunately for him however, Kyroku was more than likely disintegrated at this point as well.   Alexander had seen the rings before the darkness enveloped him, and could easily conclude that Ittou Kasou's range was much greater than the diameter of the dome in terms of both length and width, as well as height.

Kyroku watched intently as the shinigami looked around into the nothingness. Such a response was normal, one he got alot. He also anticipated the shinigami's next move, a shunpo to his right. It was not out of awareness, but out of fear. Fear that Kyroku would be within inchs of him and attack him. As soon as he shunpoed, so did Kyroku, closing the gap to nearly two yards from the man. Just far enough to be out of swords reach. As the man shunpoed yet again, Kyroku followed as well. This time he was to the left of the man on the ground. He watched as the man almost stumbled to find the ground and chuckled to himself. The man then leaped to his right in a third shunpo, Kyroku followed yet again. He was starting to wonder what all of this was about. Kyroku was within two yards of the man once again on his left. As the kido came down, the two were both enveloped in its range. Being a rather large spell, the two could fit inside it perfectly. Surely this was not the mans intent, but he couldn't see Kyroku following him the entire time. He knew the man was being cautious and knew he wouldn't strike what he couldn't see. The worst thing someone could do was leave themselves open to a counter attack after all.

Kyroku watched as the man placed his right hand onto the pyramid around them. "cleaver" Kyroku said to himself. The vibrations would alert Alexander of any intrusions to the pyramid. It was too bad that Kyroku had already infiltrated it. The man then grabbed a sword from his back, which Kyroku made certain to avoid at all costs, the mans sense of touch was still intact and would blow Kyroku's cover. He then heard the words that sent a chill down his spine, the same words he dreaded hearing at the beginning of their fight. "No, you fool" Kyroku thought to himself. Their it was though, hado 96. The kido kyroku swore to himself that he would never use. The act of sacrificing ones body over a simple battle was unheard of in his mind. It was true he knew the spell and how to cast it, but applying it was unthinkable. He wondered why the captain would go to such great lengths to complete the assassination order. It would ruin the mans career after all. Almost all kido required the act of using ones hands, both of them. This fight must have meant more to him than Kyroku had given him credit for.

Of course Kyroku had to act fast, but his mind knew what he had to do and he did so with deadly accuracy. As soon as the name of the spell left the mans lips, Kyroku acted. Kyroku pulled his blade over his head in his right arm and brought it down with all his might at the socket of Alexanders left arm. He would sever the arm from the mans body before the spell could use it as its fuel for the spell. It was the only way to stop a Itto Kasou. though very few had an opportunity to stop it. Kyroku was one of those people however. Kyroku was no expert with a sword, but he did know how to sever an arm, he made sure to put in every ounce of strength into it. He didn't even care for a counter attack. Stopping this one spell was all that mattered. The attack would no doubt shock the captain. The fact that he was getting attacked without the slightest hint of sound or reiatsu would be a completely new sensation for him. That and he probably wouldn't know what was happening until it was too late. " Forgive me, Alexander" Kyroku said finally within the void.

Though I dislike doing this for various reasons, I'll forfeit this match. I simply don't have the time to continue fighting, or rather don't have time to plot my moves as I'd like to.
