Let the fighting commence!

Walking out onto the rocky beach, Arius Pelagios, the Lieutenant of Squad 10, turned this way and that, trying to see if anyone was about. His Zanpakuto remained sheathed at his side, but he kept his right hand near the hilt in case he needed to draw quickly. His shihakusho fluttered slightly in the breeze coming off the water, his hair also managing to flop down into his eyes, although he quickly removed it from his face and returned to battle readiness. It wouldn't do to be caught off guard in a place like this.

Opening a Garganta, Elizabeth Belanger, the Sexta Espada, would step out, using a reishi platform to stand a few feet above a rocky beach, on the other side of a large rock wall. She could see another person on the other side, their back turned to her.

Her zanpakuto was at her side, loosely hanging off her hip on a brown belt. The ornate rapier glimmered in the sunlight. She hoped she wouldn't have to use it and that this day would go without a fight. Oh how she hated fighting. But this was an order from the Primera Espada, so she had no choice but to follow it.

She started to suppress her reiatsu, hoping it would conceal her long enough to either take whoever was in front of her by surprise.

Arius had felt something. What, he did not know, but he knew that something was nearby, and as he had heard no voice announcing their presence, he could only assume that it would not be for his benefit. He pushed out his senses, trying to locate the reiatsu of whoever or whatever it was. He might not be an expert in the ways of reiatsu, but he wasn't completely hopeless. But for all that he was unable to determine what was there. He drew his sword slowly, sunlight glinting off the blade. Whatever it was, he would be ready.

She noticed the being, who she had determined to be a shinigami but couldn't see any markings to determine their rank, draw their blade, only due to it glinting in the sun. Hoping to make her presence known, she raised her right hand, her index finger pointed towards the shinigami. From the point of her finger she started to charge up one of her signature black with white ruffled edges ceros. As she was a master at using cero, she had no need to charge for very long.

She aimed her cero at the shinigami's left shoulder. Despite her wish to make this fight short, she also wanted to toy with them. Finished charging up her cero, she would fire it towards her intended target.

Actions:

Arius noticed the incoming attack only had a second before the Cero impacted, and was only able to avoid taking all of it by a quick movement to the right, but was unable to totally avoid it, as the blast clipped him and shoved his shoulder forward. He felt the blood running down his arm. He sighed. Only Hollows and Vizards used ceros, and he knew of no reason for the Vizard to attack a ranked Shinigami at this time. He straighted himself and did an about face. He looked upward to where the attack had originated from and saw a blond Arrancar staring down at him. He narrowed his eyes. Raising his left arm, his middle and index fingers pointed at her chest and he called out, "Hado #4: Byakurai!"

Actions:

"Tsk." She would click her tongue against her fanged teeth as her initial cero had missed, for the most part.

Noticing the shinigami point his finger at her, she would use her gremelos sonido, albeit it was weak, to dodge. Creating all 5 of her clones, she would smile as one of them took the hit and vanishing.

"So, you are worthy prey. For being able to dodge my cero without having knowledge it was coming. Bravo." She would clap her hands as she taunted the shinigami, hoping to anger him into brazenly attacking her.

She still refused to draw her blade, and hoped that she would never have to use it as her actual skill with the weapon was weak, but her resurrecion was powerful, however much she hated it. As a precaution however, she held a hand on the handle of her rapier.

Actions:

Arius scowled slightly at having his Kido so easily avoided, but then took a deep breath to center himself. He smiled slightly, his opponent seemed hesitant to use her blade. He wondered if it was due to a lack of skill or a desire to to use her other skills first but he would have to test that theory first before he could put it down to anything. He shunpoed up to where she was and slashed at her with his blade. "Let us see what you can do with that sword of yours, Hollow. I want to see what you can do with it, unless you can't. Not that I blame you if its true, if I was abysmal with my Zanpakuto I would be pretty ashamed too." He taunted as his sword swung through the air.

Actions:

She would frown as the shinigami male came within her personal space. She hated men coming close to her. However, just as he swung his blade she would smirk as his blade cut their way through another of her clones she had created using her Gremelos Sonido just before he fired off his kido spell. The 3 remaining clones would vanish as their time was up.

She would use this advantage to use a regular sonido and go behind him and, drawing her blade for the first time in ages, attempt to slash at the tendons in his left calf.

Actions:

As he cut through another clone, Arius growled at the annoying things. He then easily parried the attack from behind, his opponent not fast enough to escape his eyes. "Now, now, just because you felt a need to prove yourself with the blade doesn't mean you are capable with it." He then swung his blade at her once again, cutting down through the air.

The blonde espada would gain a surprised look on her elegant face as the male not only dodged her attack, but had the insult her. That was her thing. Seeing the male bring his blade upon her from the top, Elizabeth would bring her rapier up in a standard defensive position, a feat she soon found out was futile as the block was easily broken through due to his superior weapon skill. She could only move to her head to the left so that the blade did not make contact with her head and instead groaned in pain as it connected to her shoulder going in a few inches before she sonidoed away.

She held at her shoulder and glared at the shinigami. "Heh. You really are worthy." With that small phrase, she turned her blade towards herself. "Burn and be reborn, Renacimiento." Upon finishing the release phrase of her zanpakuto, she would stab her blade into her chest, impaling herself on her blade, which caused the silver phoenix wings that served as the hand guards to envelop her body in flame.

The flame only lasted a few seconds and Elizabeth emerged from the flame in her resureccion, a form she rarely used due to how ugly it made her. The new form she was in consisted of her body being completely nude, save for the bright red feathers that barely covered her breasts. Her entire lower half had become more bird like as it was coated in the same bright red feathers from the waist down, her legs being morphed into a pair of birds, complete with talons. Her arms also matched this as from her elbows down, were bird talons. She had small tufts of feathers on her shoulders as well as at her elbows. From her back grew two bright red wings that seemed to glow with the heat emanating from her body, heat comparible to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Her hollow mask remains now extended from the top of her forehead and curved down the sides of her face, curving back up above the chin to curve under her eyes and connect at the bridge of her nose.

She would crack her neck in her new form, no longer using resishi platforms and instead using her wings to hover in the sky. "Oh how I hate this form."

Actions:

Arius had withdrawn his blade the moment he had seen her move, but raised an eyebrow at the release of her Zanpakuto, however he quickly became amused when he realized that it was a fire-type. Shaking his head, he held his blade before him and said, "Burst forth from below, Shinkai no Gōon." With the activation phrase called, the sword dissolved into water before quickly reforming into its Unsealed form. The silver wing-handled guard and hilt with two small blue orbs inset into the center of the guard and pommel leading up to the red blade that he pointed at her. "Let us see which is greater, the water or the flame."

Actions:

Smiling, she would fly towards him, her left hand extended, her claws facing forwards. She intended to slash at his stomach. However, just before making contact, and when she was directly in front of him she would look up at him and fire one of her ceros. "Let's see you dodge a point-blank cero." As she did this she started to secretly charge a cero in her other hand and start to imbue it with the flame of her resureccion.

Actions:

Arius barely had time to bring up his sword in a vague form of defense as the blast overtook him, throwing him backwards into the rocks behind him. He couldn't help the cry of pain that left his lips at both the cero and the rocks he had rammed into. Bleeding in several places and feeling a broken rib, Pelagios knew this fight was going to have to change direction soon. He leapt upward to the top of the rocks his blade at his side. "Let's see how you like the favor returned."  And then he spoke the word that signaled his trump. "Bankai."

The blade disappeared entirely as Arius' body became covered in water, masking his form from view. It was but seconds later that the water began to change shape, turning from liquid to solid as it assumed a blue-grey steel that covered most of Arius' body, with two watery wings spreading out from his back. His head covered by a horned helmet of the same color and underneath is all black chainmail and clothing.

"Let us see how you fair against this, Hollow."

She smiled at the shinigami as he went flying into the rocks. However her smile was quickly wiped from her face as he apparently released his bankai. Her face now had a slight scowl. She was, however, still charging up her Cero Fuego in her right hand so, using her gremelos sonido, she would create 5 clones and have them spread out in front of the shinigami, Elizabeth's real body mixing in with them.

Holding her right arm up and grasping it with her left, she would fire off her Cero Fuego, as would her clones, however only one of the 6 ceros were real, aiming for the shinigami's now armored head. And just in case that plan didn't work, she started to ignite her wings, reading for her fastest attack.

The attack disappearing as the water in the shield doused the flames in the cero. Following the shield's appearance he leapt backward bringing his blade back up, water already gathered along the length of his blade as he moved it above his head. Arius watched passively as the clones and the Arrancar spread out before him in an attempt to confuse him. When they all fired off another Cero this time one of fire he shrouded himself in his wings and prepared for impact. The blast hit the side of the makeshift shield and while it didn't do full damage it still packed quite the punch, and thus he was thrown backward once again, although thankfully he was just thrown into the air and was able to use his wings to prevent him from falling. His broken rib dug into his lung slightly, causing him to let out a wheezing breath. Arius' eyes narrowed.

Summoning his sword, he quickly drew on his reiatsu and thrust at his opponent four times. Four watery copies of his Zanpakuto's Shikai form appeared before him and cut through the air at the woman, each blade going for a different target, although the one on the far left and middle right were not attacked.

Actions:

Eliza's clones would smile before disappearing, revealing that it was the far left that was the real Eliza. Her wings now fully clad in fire, she would fly towards the male shinigami, her wings spread out and sharpened to the point of a razor. She was aiming for the weak spot in any armor set, the neck. She knew that the neck was, and always will be, a weak spot in any full armor set due to the being's need to move their head.

However, just as a precaution, she would do something she rarely did. She would use one of her talons to slice a small incision in her arm, above the bird plating, enough to have blood start to trickle down towards her palm, in preparation for a gran rey cero on the off chance she missed the shinigami's neck.

Actions:

Arius's lips stretched in a wicked grin, his teeth bared before the charging Hollow. Her outstretched wings of fire clothing quickly as she struck at his neck, although it didn't quite make it that far, as his armor, being composed partly of water, was able to lessen the impact along with his suits natural defenses. He raised his arms before him in an x pattern. When she hit the attack was lessened to a degree, but not enough to stop it, and as such he was thrown backwards and down; he barely managed to right himself as he flew back up into the air, this time a good distance away from his opponent.

Arius grimaced as his already-injured ribs were jostled by the collision, but he wouldn't let himself fall here, not after all he had achieved in his life. The edges of his wings glowed briefly before they cut forward at the Espada, sending two crescent waves right at her. As soon as they were off, Arius' body became covered in reiatsu, giving off a navy blue glow as he began to prepare one of his most powerful techniques.

Actions:

"Tsk." She would click her tongue in frustration as her prey had avoided death yet again. She smiled a little as, despite her attack not being a killing blow, it was enough to send him flying downward towards the ground. She noticed the shinigami send two blades of water towards her. In order to doge these, she did something drastic. She flew downwards and, letting her blood pool into her left palm and summoning her custom cero, she would smirk at her prey.

"Well Mr Shinigami, this is the end for you." She flew directly below him and pointed her left hand up towards him, just inches underneath him, and, having her blood pooled in the palm of her hand, would fire off her most powerful cero, the Espada specific Gran Rey Cero. Hers being the unique color combination of pure black combined with the white ruffled edges, matching the dress of her regular outfit.

Upon impact, a semi-thick mist will enshroud the target area for about 5 meters in each direction, making visibility difficult for those within, as any shape that would appear in the mist could be friend, foe, or pieces of nature such as rocks created in the aftermath of the technique. Those outside the mist would also be unable to see within the mist due to its density. The mist dissipates after a slight lag.

Due this ability not have defensive qualities. It cannot be used to reduce the damage of Elizabeth's GRC. Additionally, your HSM is not high enough to avoid an attack of this caliber at close range. Unless a suitable alternative defense can be provided, the attack will land fully and result in death.

It was an honorable battle and came to a thrilling conclusion.
